Austin Jewelry Appraisers, led by C. Kirk Root, has been in business since 1988. We comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and pride ourselves on not only appraising jewelry and gems, but in educating people about them as well.
Kirk Root has been an ASA certified Master Gemologist Appraiser for over 25 years. This elite accreditation is so difficult to attain that currently less that 40 people internationally hold the title. He is also a GIA Graduate Gemologist and TJI Gemologist. Kirk's gemological expertise has made him one of the leading appraisers for the FBI, DEA, and Department of Justice. Kirk is a former Chairperson of the International Gems & Jewelry Committee for the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He is a member of NAJA, GIA-AA, and AGA as well as JA/TJA. |
